Salem, Va. - The Roanoke College field hockey team was picked to finish sixth in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) this season, as announced by the conference Monday afternoon.  

The head coaches of each ODAC program voted on the poll; however, they could not vote for their own program.  

Roanoke received 29 points, putting them six points ahead of seventh-place Batten and just seven points behind Bridgewater in fifth. Lynchburg tops the poll with 63 points and seven of the nine first-place votes while Washington and Lee received 56 points and the remaining two votes.  

The Maroons start the season at Meredith on Tuesday, Sept. 1; action starts at 4 p.m.
