Ladner, Camobreco Earn Bids to NCAA Outdoor Championships

The NCAA Division III Men's and Women's Track & Field and Cross Country Committee has revealed the participants for the 2026 outdoor national championships, and Roanoke's Lorenzo Camobreco and Ophelia Ladner have both qualified for the event.

The championships will be held at Veteran's Memorial Field Sports Complex in La Crosse, Wisc. from May 21-23.

Camobreco, a senior from Yorktown, Va., earned a spot in the 400m. His meet and personal-record time of 47.14 seconds at the ODAC outdoor championships in Harrisonburg, Va. on April 25 has him seeded 15th in the event.

Ladner, a senior from Brunswick, Maine, has qualified for the 400m hurdles at the NCAA outdoor meet for the second straight year. She is seeded 19th after breaking her own school record with a time of 1:01.55 at the Lee University Last Chance Meet in Cleveland, Tenn. last weekend.

Ladner earned Second Team All-America honors in the 400m hurdles at last year's Division III championships in Geneva, Ohio, where she placed 12th overall. Camobreco will be making his nationals debut.

The first round of the women's 400m hurdles is scheduled for Thursday at 5:10 p.m. CDT, while the prelims of the men's 400m will take place at 5:05 p.m. on Friday, May 22. The finals for both events are slated for Saturday, May 23.

Live updates and results from the indoor championships will be available on the NCAA website.
