Salem, Va. - Roanoke College's Director of Track & Field and Cross Country, Derek Workman, announced the Maroons' 2026-27 track & field schedule on Friday afternoon.
"We are really excited to get to host 4 home meets this year, as opposed to our normal 3 meets we have hosted the last couple of years", said Coach Workman. "We also added a meet to the schedule during the indoor season; we are going to head up to Wittenberg University at the end of January. They have an oversized 300-meter track, which only a few of our athletes have ever competed on. We are excited to take a group up there to get a different experience, see some teams we don't normally see, and run some fast times."
Roanoke starts its indoor schedule at the Liberty Kickoff (December 3-4). RC will host four meets during the indoor season: Roanoke Holiday Invitational (Dec. 5), Finn Pincus Invitational (Jan. 16-17), Bast-Cregger Multi Invitational (Feb. 5-6), and the Jor LaRocco Invitational (Feb. 13). The ODAC Indoor Track & Field Championships will be hosted by Bridgewater (Feb. 27-28).
The team will have one more competition at the South Region Final Qualifier (Mar. 5-6) before the NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships on March 12-13 in Spokane, Washington.
The outdoor slate starts fairly soon after indoor ends, with RC traveling to the W&L Carnival (March 19-20). The Maroons will then travel the next four weeks to multiple schools in Virginia and North Carolina before the ODAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships at Washington & Lee on Apr. 30-May 1.
RC has five final qualifiers lined up across five states to help prepare before the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships on May 27-29 in Geneva, Ohio.
