The Short story: The Roanoke College softball team swept Southern Virginia University Saturday in a non-conference doubleheader, winning the first game 10-1 in five innings and also taking game 2 8-2.

Inside the numbers (Game 1):
*Roanoke scored three in the first and seven runs in the third.
*Riley Shupe went 3-3 with a double and two runs scored.
*Ava Colontrelle hit a three-run home run.
*Molly Houchins was 1-2 with a walk, a double and two runs scored.
*Carsyn Michaels went 2-3 with a double.
*Baylee Compton threw four innings to earn the win.

Inside the numbers (Game 2):
*RC put up three runs in the first and two in the fourth in the nightcap.
*Charlotte Gale was 3-3 with two doubles, five RBI and a walk.   
*Shupe again had three hits and scored three runs.
*Grace Clary earned the win with five innings of scoreless relief, allowing just three hits and no walks.
