SALEM, Va. - The Roanoke College baseball squad picked up a 13-1 midweek win over Mary Baldwin to improve to 8-2 on the season.

How It Happened 

• The Maroons jumped on the Flying Squirrels early, tallying four in the first, three in the second, and two in the third to go up 9-0. 

• Mary Baldwin got one back in the fifth, but RC added four in the sixth to secure the seven-inning win. 

Notes and Notables 

• Freshman Nicholas Mavroudis earned his second win the year after pitching five innings and allowing just one run. 

• Michael Hetzel and Tyler Galloway each had three RBIs. Conner Spears and Danny Ferguson were right behind them with a pair each. 

• Danny Ferguson roped two doubles in the game. 

• Nate Prince, Alec Jones, Jack Fehlner, Spears, and Ferguson all posted a pair of hits. 

• Fehlner accounted for a team high three runs. 

• Alec Jones stole three bags in the contest, setting a new career high for himself.
