FREDERICKSBURG, Va. - The Roanoke College women's lacrosse team had multiple players set career marks as they fell to Mary Washington.

How It Happened 

• RC had the upper hand after the first quarter as they led 4-3. 

• Mary Washington got the better of the Maroons in the second quarter, outscoring Roanoke 4-1 in the period. 

• The Maroons were able to cut the deficit to one by the end of the third but were unable to find the final blows in the final 15 minutes. 

Notes and Notables 

• Zoe Blair and Maddie McDonald led the offensive charge with three goals each. 

• Addison Widmer, Sarah Brisson, and Emmie Verville accounted for RC's other three goals. Verville's goal was the first of her career. 

• Liza Fergusson tied her career mark in ground balls with five. Meanwhile, Addison Widmer set a new career high in the category with four ground balls. 

• Eva Lennon and Jordan Wheeler each had three caused turnovers in the game. Lennon set a career high while Wheeler tied hers in the category. 

• McDonald also led in draw controls with three. 

• Kendall Todd posted seven saves in goal for the Maroons. 

• RC had the advantage in shots, 30-25, ground balls, 26-15, and draw controls 13-9.
