The Short Story:
Freshman David Hamilton made 18 saves Saturday as the Roanoke College men's lacrosse team defeated Hampden-Sydney College 9-7 in a low-scoring Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) game.
 
How It Happened:
After a tight first half, the Maroons led 5-4. RC held the Tigers to just three goals in the second half, all in the fourth quarter. By that time, the Maroons had built enough of a lead to come home victorious.
 
Inside The Numbers:

• Dell Vidunas, Noah Bell, and Jack Savoie scored two goals each, contributing six of the nine Maroon goals.
• Weston Hammond, Julian Kammerman, and Clayton Bewick rounded out the Maroons' scoring efforts, each scoring a goal.
• TJ Harris led the Maroons in groundballs, scooping five. Ike Dutton forced four turnovers and had three groundballs. Bell added four groundballs and an assist.
• Evan Yntema fielded six groundballs for the Tigers (5-4/3-1 ODAC).
