The Roanoke College men's lacrosse team took a lead into the fourth quarter Saturday against No. 3 the University of Lynchburg in an Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) game, before ultimately falling 17-13.
How It Happened:
*Roanoke stayed even with the Hornets for most of the first half, and created an 8-6 lead by scoring four unanswered goals to close the second quarter.
*The Maroons pushed the lead to four at 11-7 midway through the third period and led 12-11 entering the final period, but Lynchburg pulled away in the fourth to survive the upset attempt.

- Julian Kammerman and Patrick Cullen combined for eight Maroon goals, scoring four apiece. Kammerman broke the 100-career goal mark and now has 101 in his storied tenure at Roanoke College.
- Tyler Schmelzer, Blake Rieger, Noah Bell, and Clayton Bewick all contributed a goal in the effort.
