NORFOLK, Va. - The Roanoke College men's volleyball team started off their weekend slate with a 3-1 victory over Regent on Friday evening.

How It Happened 

• RC had strong finishes in both the first and second sets to take them 25-16 and 25-17. 

• Regent then jumped on the Maroons early to take the third set 25-17. 

• Roanoke answered back by getting out to big lead early and going on to win the set 25-15. 

Notes and Notables 

• Jackson Rutkowski and Pierce Faulcon topped the squad in kills with eight each. Both posted a hitting percentage over .500. 

• Teagan Cole paced in assists with 13 while Johnny Moran had nine. 

• Cole also tied his career high with four service aces in the match. 

• CJ Kingston posted a team high 14 digs. 

• Dominic Wheaton had two solo blocks while Faulcon and Andre Gates accounted for the rest of RC's blocks with a solo block each.
