VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - The Roanoke College men's volleyball squad earned another ODAC win over Virginia Wesleyan before falling to #10 Southern Virginia on Saturday.

Game 1 Notes and Notables 

• The Maroons rolled through the first two sets taking them 25-15 and 25-14. VWU started strong in the third, but RC closed it out with seven of the set's final eight points to take it 25-21. 

• Jackson Rutkowski led in kills with 13 as he posted a .480 hitting percentage. 

• Pierce Faulcon and Michael Cummins also hit double digits with 10 kills each. 

• Johnny Moran topped the squad in assists and digs with 24 and 12. 

• Andre Gates posted five blocks, one solo and four assisted.

#10 Southern Virginia 3, Roanoke 0 
Records: Southern Virginia (20-3, 2-0), Roanoke (16-6, 9-1) 

Game 2 Notes and Notables 

• Southern Virginia jumped out to early leads in all three sets to win 25-16, 25-17, 25-18. 

• Faulcon, Cummins, and Cade Kinne each had five kills in the match. 

• Gabe Fabbro led in helpers with nine. 

• Moran and CJ Kingston topped the squad in digs with three. 

• Gates led the squad in blocks in this match too as he picked up a solo and assisted block.
