SALEM, Va. - The freshmen of the Roanoke College baseball team shined on both sides of ball as the Maroons ended their home stand with a 12-2 win over SUNY Cobleskill.

How It Happened 

• RC came out swinging again as they put up seven runs in the first two innings. 

• SUNY Cobleskill then picked up two in the top of third to start to cut into their deficit. 

• Roanoke however, added five more tallies in the third and fourth innings. They then shut the SUNY offense down for the rest of the game to take it 12-2 in seven innings. 

Notes and Notables 

• Clark Mileto picked up his first career win after going 3.1 innings. The freshman struck out four and only gave up two hits in the outing. 

• Michael Hetzel paced the Maroons offensively, recording five RBIs on three hits and two walks. 

• Noah Donaho also put in a solid day, tallying a pir of hits and driving in three. 

• Nate Prince posted a hit, an RBI, two walks, and a pair of stolen bases while accounting for four runs. 

• Hector Orozco and Dylan Bonzon recorded RC's other two RBIs in the contest. 

• Alec Jones walked three times and was driven in three times.
