SALEM, Va. - The Roanoke College women's basketball celebrated their seniors on Saturday as they rounded out the regular season against Randolph-Macon.

How It Happened 

• The first quarter saw RC grab the lead off a pair of Alicea Farmer free throws that they kept until just under a minute remaining in the quarter. The Yellow Jackets used a layup to go ahead 14-12. 

• The Maroons responded well in the second quarter, cutting the deficit and regaining the lead early. RMC however scored seven unanswered points to end the half and go into the break with a 26-23 lead. 

• RC couldn't quite find their rhythm after the half as Macon built up their advantage and ultimately went on to win the game. 

Notes and Notables 

• Alicea Farmer and Cecilia Robinson recorded seven points each to pace the Maroons. Ingrid Moraes was right behind them with six points. 

• Freshman Moriah Tate led in rebounds with seven while her fellow first year, Robinson, followed her up with six. 

• Robinson also had a pair of steals on her stat line. 

• Four different Roanoke players registered a block; Tate, Robinson, Farmer, and Ashley Fowler.

The Maroons are the No.8 seed in the ODAC Tournament and are set to make the trip to the No.1 seeded Washington & Lee on Wednesday (Feb. 25) for the ODAC Quarterfinals. The game is slated to be played at 7:00 pm.
