Clay Nunley earned his 300
th career head coaching win Saturday as the Roanoke College men's basketball team defeated Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) foe Shenandoah University 62-57.
Nunley now has a 300-193 record in his 19 seasons between Randolph and Roanoke Colleges, and his Maroons are ranked No. 21 in NCAA Division III.
How it happened:
*Roanoke held a 25-23 lead at halftime, with both defenses controlling play.
*The Maroons led 31-29 and used a 24-9 surge to go ahead 55-38 with just under seven minutes left in the contest.
*The Hornets sliced the lead to just four in the final seconds but could get no closer.

Marcus Morgan had 21 points, 10 rebounds, four assists and two steals, shooting 8-of-12 from the floor.
