PITTSBURGH, Pa. - The Roanoke College men's volleyball team grabbed their first road win of the season as they took down Chatham 3-0.

How It Happened 

• It was a tight first set as neither side got more than two consecutive points. Roanoke found those two consecutive points when it mattered most though to take the set 30-28. 

• The Maroons struck first in second set, but Chatham kept them close in the beginning. RC began to build some distance in the middle of the set and were able to finish it off at 25-19. 

• Roanoke were the ones chasing to start the third set but they took the lead at 14-13 and didn't look back, going on to win 25-20. 

Notes and Notables 

• Colin Mendoza led the charge offensively with nine kills. He was followed closely by Jackson Rutkowski and Cade Kinne who each had eight kills. 

• Leo Houser and Johnny Moran accounted for all of RC's assists with Houser tallying 23 and Moran dishing out 15. 

• Dominic Wheaton had a team high five blocks on the night, four solo and one assisted. 

• CJ Kingston racked up the most digs in the contest with 15, tying his career high. 

• Rutkowski, Michael Cummins, and Eli Looney each recorded a service ace on the night.
