LEXINGTON, Va. - The Roanoke College women's basketball were stifled by the #6 ranked Washington & Lee Generals on the road.

How It Happened 

• The Generals jumped out to an early lead and showed why they are a top 10 team in the nation, holding off the comeback attempts from Roanoke. 

Notes and Notables 

• Paige Breuer led the squad in scoring with 15 points as she went 5-6 from beyond the arc. 

• Moriah Tate and Abigail Rice were the next closest Maroons in the category with seven points each. The pair accounted for all of RC's free throws, going 8-9 collectively in the contest. 

• Laila Staples had five rebounds to top the squad. She also snatched a career high and team leading four steals on the night. 

Up Next 
Roanoke has another quick turnaround this week due to potential weather over the weekend. Their ODAC contest against Randolph has been moved from Saturday to Friday (Jan. 30) at 4:00pm in the Cregger Center.
