The Short story: The Roanoke College women's volleyball team won both of its matches Friday to open the 2025 Maroon Classic, defeating Methodist in four sets and North Carolina Wesleyan in five.
Inside the numbers (vs. Methodist):
*Ahead two games to one and tied 18-18 in the fourth set, RC won seven of the last eight points to finish off the match.
Teagan Hubble delivered service aces in the final two points.

*Catoe blasted a match-high 24 kills, with only four errors for a .476 hitting percentage.
*Alumbaugh tallied 13 kills and 15 digs and Morrison had nine kills.

*Hubble recorded 24 digs and
Cecelia Bryant had 15.
*Ashley Hinton hit 18 kills for NC Wesleyan (4-1) and Emilee Wilson distributed 50 assists.
