The Short story: The Roanoke College football team forced six turnovers Saturday as Maroons defeated Greensboro College 32-22 in a non-conference road game.
Facing a 15-11 halftime deficit, RC scored the next 21 points to take control of the game. The Maroon defense sealed the win with a stop after Greensboro had a first and goal at the two yard-line with just over a minute remaining, keeping the Pride out of the end zone on four straight plays.

How it happened (first half):
*The Maroon defense forced turnovers on three of the first four drives. The first was an interception in the end zone by
Javier Waldron to stop a Greensboro scoring threat. The second was a
Landon Altizer pick at midfield with a 23-yard runback to set up an
Ethan Cyr 33-yard field goal.

Charlie Davis recovered a Pride fumble early in the second quarter at midfield.
*Karee Dykes found the end zone on a six-yard run at 12:49 of the second and the Pride took a 7-3 lead.
*Roanoke's
Zyair Brown recovered a G'Boro fumble in the end zone, but the extra point attempt was blocked and returned for two points to make the score 9-9.
*RC returned the favor after a Greensboro rushing touchdown with 1:09 left in the half. Â D'Angelo Walker returned a blocked extra point kick and took it the whole way back. GC led 15-11 at intermission.

Polo Hill had a 35-yard touchdown run called back and a
Cole Chizuk had an 18-yard touchdown catch erased due to penalties in the first half.

Khamari Garner for a nine-yard touchdown strike to give RC a 18-15 lead.
*Waldron intercepted his second pass of the day to set up a
Kam Hill-to-
KJ Bratton 10-yard TD connection early in the fourth quarter.

Tyson Miller found paydirt on a two-yard rushing score to make the Roanoke lead 32-15.
*Kyjuan Westmoreland broke a 60-yard run to pull the Pride back within 10 with 10:14 left.

Inside the numbers:
*Miller gained 98 yards on 24 carries.

Kam Hill completed 17 passes for 182 yards and two scores.
*Garner had six catches for 84 yards and
Grey Deal had five for 54.

Charlie Davis made 16 stops, including nine solo tackles and one tackle for loss.

Lane Shoemaker had nine tackles while
Brayden Andrews had eight.
*Westmoreland gained 175 yards on 20 carries with two touchdowns.
