How It Happened

  • In the eighth minute, Kyle Butcher put in a cross that earned the Maroons a corner on the right side. Ed Law then whipped in a ball with his left foot to the head of Brian Manon who finished it off in front of the keeper.

  • After Grey Morris stole a ball off a NC Wesleyan player in the 64th minute, William Gardiner sent a ball up that Carlos Lomena was able to grab. Lomena then dribbled up field and passed the ball across to the top of the box to a streaking Carter Laatsch who was able to take a right footed finish to the lower right corner.

  • The Battling Bishops got one back in the 77th minute as they followed up a loose ball off a corner.

  • Butcher earned the Maroons yet another corner in the 83rd minute. Slate Danforth stepped up to the left corner arc and whipped in a ball with his right foot that Harrison Kraus nodded down across the goal to Will Fatzinger. Fatzinger then finished it off with his head for the third tally.
