SALEM, Va. - The Virginia Sports Information Directors (VaSID) announced the 216 student-athletes across 36 schools that were named to the 2025 Academic All-State Team on Tuesday afternoon, which included six Maroons.
 

To be eligible to be nominated, student-athletes must have at least sophomore standing and maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.25 or higher.
 

Seniors Julia Bassett (Women's Tennis), Peyton Bradford (Field Hockey), Joshua Morse (Men's Basketball), Lily Mullens (Women's Swimming), and Connor Tyson (Men's Volleyball) were all selected for the honor. Ophelia Ladner (Women's Track & Field) was the lone junior honored for RC. 
 
Everyone in this group of six has been tabbed to the CSC Academic All-District teams this season for their outstanding accomplishments as athletes and in the classroom. This is also the second straight year that Lily Mullens has been named to the Academic All-State team.
