Women's lacrosse duo takes home IWLCA All-Region accolades

NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. - Grace Koutouzis and Maddie McDonald of the Roanoke women's lacrosse team snagged their second postseason accolade of the week as the pair were selected to the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) All-Chesapeake Region Teams as announced on Friday afternoon.

Koutouzis was a first team honoree while McDonald picked up second team accolades.

This marks RC's fifth straight season with a first team selection. Roanoke has also had a player selected to the IWLCA All-Region team every year since the organization started the award in 2009.

This is Koutouzis' second straight First Team All-Region nod from the IWLCA. On the other hand, this is McDonald's first All-Region honor of her young career. The duo adds this to the USA Lacrosse Third Team All-American and First Team All-ODAC honors they earned earlier this month. Koutouzis was also named the ODAC Offensive Player of the Year.
