GREENWOOD, IN – Four members of the Roanoke College tennis team were selected to the 2024-25 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team.
Julia Bassett, Victoria Rios, and Camryn Breedlove were chosen on the women's side while Ian Michel earned the honors on the men's side.
To qualify, student-athletes must have at least a 3.50 cumulative GPA, have sophomore standing, and be in the lineup for at least 70% of the team's contests. This quartet posted an average GPA of 3.75.
Bassett, a Health and Exercise Science major, held a perfect 4.0 GPA and was the valedictorian of Roanoke's 2025 graduating class. Bassett led the women's team in both singles and doubles victories this past season.
Rios earned the accolade as a Criminal Justice and History double major. The Stafford, Virginia product was right behind Bassett in wins on both the singles and doubles sides.
Breedlove, a Criminal Justice and Political Science double major, competed in every match for the Maroons. She was a regular in the number six singles spot and at number three doubles.
Michel, a Business Administration major, was tied for the team lead in doubles victories on the men's side. He tallied six wins at number two and one at number one doubles.
