The Short story: The Roanoke College softball team dropped an Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) doubleheader to the University of Lynchburg Wednesday, 3-1 in the first game and 6-1 in the second contest.
How it happened (Game 1):
*The Hornets scored the game's first run in the third inning, but Roanoke tied it up after a
Leah Butts RBI single in the fourth.
*Lynchburg scored runs in the sixth and seventh on RBI singles.
*Roanoke had a runner on in each of the last two innings but couldn't convert.

Haleigh Vaughan was 2-2 and
Madison Cooke also had two hits.
*Kailey Dorcsis allowed one earned run for the complete game win for Lynchburg.
How it happened (Game 2):
*Lynchburg took advantage of four Maroon errors in the second game.
*The Hornets scored four runs in the second and tacked on single runs in the fifth and sixth frames.

Madison Courts brought home the Maroon run with a single in the third.

*Lynchburg improves to 21-11 and 12-6 in the conference.
