The Short Story: The Roanoke College men's lacrosse team opened an early 5-0 lead and went on to defeat Grove City College 16-14 Wednesday in non-conference action.  
 
How it happened:
*The Maroons scored the game's first five goals and took a 7-1 lead after one quarter.
*Grove City scored the first four goals of the second before RC scored the last two to go ahead 9-5 at halftime.
*The Wolverines had another 4-0 run in the third, but the Maroons scored four of the last five to take a 14-10 lead with one quarter to play.  
*Roanoke opened a 15-10 lead and hung on for the two-goal win.
 
 Inside the numbers:
*Luca Docking scored a team-high four goals with one assist.
*Luke Kammerman and Noah Bell each had three goals and an assist.
*Wyatt Whitlow posted two goals and an assist while Julian Kammerman had a score and three helpers.
*Clayton Bewick had two goals and Patrick Cullen had two assists.
*Blake Rieger also found the back of the net.
*Alex Feuer made 13 saves and also had an assist.
*Zachary Hougan had three goals and four assists for Grove City (1-5) and Luke Rios won 19-of-23 face off opportunities.
