The Short Story: The Roanoke College men's lacrosse team opened an early 5-0 lead and went on to defeat Grove City College 16-14 Wednesday in non-conference action.
How it happened:
*The Maroons scored the game's first five goals and took a 7-1 lead after one quarter.
*Grove City scored the first four goals of the second before RC scored the last two to go ahead 9-5 at halftime.
*The Wolverines had another 4-0 run in the third, but the Maroons scored four of the last five to take a 14-10 lead with one quarter to play.
*Roanoke opened a 15-10 lead and hung on for the two-goal win.
