The Short Story: The Roanoke College men's lacrosse team fell Saturday to No. 4 Christopher Newport University 16-7 in non-conference action.
How it happened:
*The Captains netted the game's first three goals before
Clayton Bewick found the back of the net at 9:25. The two teams exchanged goals twice as CNU took a 5-3 lead after one period.
*CNU scored all three goals of the second stanza to assume an 8-3 lead midway through the action.
*The Maroons rallied with scores from
Wyatt Whitlow and
Patrick Cullen to cut the advantage to 8-5, but the Captains netted the next four goals.

Julian Kammerman and
