SALEM, Va. - The Roanoke College women's lacrosse team defeated Bridgewater for the sixth straight meeting as they took down the Eagles by a score of 16-4 on Saturday.

How It Happened 

• Roanoke took control early, going up 11-0 in the first half to distance themselves from the Eagles. 

• Bridgewater scored first in the second half, but Roanoke kept the upper hand, going into the final 15 minutes with a 13-3 lead. 

• RC outscored Bridgewater 3-1 in the fourth to bring the score to its final. 

Notes and Notables 

• Grace Koutouzis led all scorers with five goals and two assists for seven points. 

• Addison Widmer (2g, 2a), Sarah Brisson (1g, 2a), Zoe Blair (3a), Sydney Harrison (2g), and Raegan Becker (2g) also had multi-point games. 

• Maddie McDonald, Sydney Winpigler, Katie Fasanaro, and Tracey Benzing topped off the goal scorers for the day. 

• McDonald topped the Maroons in ground balls and caused turnovers with three GBs and 4 CTs. Both totals are new career highs for the sophomore. 

• Koutouzis and McDonald tied for the team high in draw controls with four each. Jordan Wheeler was right behind them with three. 

• Kendall Todd and Amber Stallings played between the pipes for the Maroons. Todd recorded two saves in 22 minutes of play while Stallings had four saves in 38 minutes of action. 

• RC led in shots 36-15 and draw controls 12-8 while Bridgewater had a slight advantage in ground balls 18-16.
