ISENHEIMER, N.C. - The Roanoke College baseball team was hit hard in the late innings as they fell to Pfeiffer on Tuesday.

How It Happened 

• The Maroons struck first going up 3-0 before Pfeiffer added a tally in the bottom of the fifth. 

• Roanoke responded though with a run of their own in the top of the sixth. 

• RC was unable to hold on though as Pfeiffer went on to score 10 runs over the course of the sixth, seventh, and eighth innings. 

Notes and Notables 

• Finn Lamb allowed just one run and struck out four in five innings of work in his second start of the season. 

• Justyn Steens, Hayden Giordano, and Tyler Galloway all recorded a multi-hit game. It was Galloway's fourth consecutive multi-hit game and his seventh on the campaign. 

• Corey Coogan and Giordano each had an RBI in the contest. 

• Nate Prince and Galloway both stole a base in the affair.

The Maroons return home on Thursday (Mar. 13) to kick off their four game homestand. They are set to square off with #18 Christopher Newport for the second time in the past week in a 4:00 pm matchup at Salem Memorial Ballpark.
