ST. MARY'S CITY, Md. - The Roanoke College women's lacrosse team did damage in the second quarter to help earn themselves a 18-9 win over St. Mary's College of Maryland on Saturday afternoon.

How It Happened

After nobody scoring in the first few minutes of the second, RC went on a five-goal run to go up 8-2. SMCM then scored, which Roanoke answered with two more goals to go into halftime with a 10-3 advantage.

RC tallied three more goals in the first five minutes of the fourth. The Seahawks added two of their own shortly after, however Roanoke had already done their damage. No more scoring occurred in the final five minutes, giving the Maroons their second win of the year.

Maddie McDonald was the fourth multi-goal scorer on the afternoon, with three goals of her own. McDonald also had an assist, seven draw controls, two ground balls, and two caused turnovers in her stat line.
