Gavin O'Malley scored a career-high 27 points Saturday as the Maroon men's basketball team rolled to a 94-66 Old Dominion Athletic Conference win at Randolph College.
O'Malley made 10-of-12 from the floor and 7-of-8 from the free-throw line. His previous best was 22 points earlier this season against Montclair State.
How it happened:
*The Maroons opened the game on an 8-0 run, with two buckets from O'Malley.
*Randolph rallied to go ahead 15-11 but Roanoke took a 24-17 lead with 10 minutes left in the half after a 13-2 surge. The Maroons scored the last five points of the half to lead 47-32 at intermission.
*The WildCats trailed just 60-45 but an 11-0 run gave the Maroons a 71-45 lead with 11:19 left and the visitors had a 20-point lead or more the rest of the way.

Joshua McClary had 17 points while
Marcus Morgan totaled 12 points and eight rebounds.

Joshua Morse tallied nine points and a game-high 11 rebounds.

Jackson Bell had 11 points.
*The Maroons shot over 52 percent from the floor (33-63), while holding the WildCats to 32 percent (24-74) shooting.
*Jordan-Phillips McLoyd had a team-high 18 points for Randolph (7-14/2-11).
