SALEM, Va. - The Roanoke College baseball squad pulled off a 7-6 walk-off win in the bottom of the ninth against Greensboro on Wednesday evening.

How It Happened 

• Roanoke opened the scoring in the bottom of the first via a Tyler Galloway single and a Tucker Schiavoni hit by pitch. 

• Greensboro responded in the top of the third with three runs of their own. 

• RC took back the lead in the bottom half of the third as they used free bases to their advantage. 

• The Maroons added another run in the seventh on a Nate Prince pinch hit single. 

• Greensboro roared back in the top of the ninth with three runs to regain the advantage. 

• Roanoke played small ball in the ninth and it paid off as Schiavoni scored Galloway on a walk-off single. 

Notes & Notables 

• Tucker Schiavoni and Tyler Galloway topped the team in RBIs with two apiece. 

• Isaac Brooks picked up his third win on the season, pitching two innings in the game. 

• Galloway also led the team in hits at three and runs with two. 

• The Maroons tallied seven walks to tie their season high for the young campaign. 

• Coorey Coogan had two of those free bases. 

• Parker Stallard and Galloway had RC's only two extra base hits, each hitting doubles in the contest. 

• Jackson Murphy recorded four strikeouts in his four innings of work as the starter.
