SALEM, Va. - The Roanoke College baseball team split the first two contests of a three game weekend series with Denison, walking off game two by a score of 12-11 on Saturday.

Denison opened it up yet again with a tally in the first, however RC responded this time with three in the bottom. The Big Red outscored Roanoke 7-1 until the bottom of the sixth, in which the Maroons added three more to reduce the deficit. After Denison added two more in the seventh. Roanoke tied it up at 11 all in the eighth. Parker Stallard then finished the job in the bottom of the tenth with an RBI single to drive in Nate Prince.

Swanson, like Ferguson in Game 1, made his first collegiate start at catcher. His stat line included two runs, two hits (one of which was a double), and two RBIs.
