How It Happened

  • Roanoke kicked off the game with a fire lit under them, opening the first with three straight three pointers to jump out to a 9-0 advantage. It was a battle for the rest of the high scoring quarter, with W&L coming out with a 21-20 edge.

  • It was a back and forth second quarter, but four points from Paige Breuer before the half-put RC in the lead at the break, 41-39.

  • It was much of the same for the first part of the third quarter. The Generals took control though after the second media timeout, going up by 11 before the end of the period.

  • The game returned to point trading in the fourth, but the Maroons couldn't find a big enough run in points to cut the deficit.

  • Nadia Snesarev added to her assist total with a team high five in the contest. She also led the team in rebounds with four.
