Roanoke kicked off the game with a fire lit under them, opening the first with three straight three pointers to jump out to a 9-0 advantage. It was a battle for the rest of the high scoring quarter, with W&L coming out with a 21-20 edge.

RC had one of their better shooting games on the campaign, shooting 43.4% from the field, 42.3% from three, and 88.9% from the charity stripe. All those percentages were higher than W&L's in the contest.
