The Short Story: The Roanoke College men's lacrosse team opened the 2025 season with a 12-10 victory over the University of Mary Washington Saturday afternoon. The contest was played in a heavy downpour with large pools of water on the field.
How it happened:

Luke Kammerman netted the season's first goal just 17 seconds into play.
*Following two UMW tallies, the Maroons posted six of the next seven goals to open a 7-3 lead.
*The Eagles rallied to tie the game 8-8 early in the third period, but three-straight Maroon goals pushed the lead back to three.
