The Short Story: Luca Docking and Wyatt Whitlow each scored five goals Tuesday as the Roanoke College men's lacrosse team rolled to a 28-6 win over Southern Virginia University in non-conference action.    
 
How it happened:
*SVU got on the board first, but Roanoke quickly took control with the next five scores, two from Luke Kammerman.
*The Maroons led 7-2 after one period and put the game away with an 11-1 second quarter.
 
Inside the numbers:
*Whitlow finished with five goals and two assists.
*Luke Kammerman had three scores and five helpers.
*Anthony Muniz and Quinn Evans each found the back of the net twice.
*Patrick Cullen contributed a goal and an assist and Weston Hammond, Jack Savoie, Griffin Dabbs, Blake Rieger, Connor Lockwood, Owen Ameo, TJ Harris, Dell Vidunas, Tyler Schmeizer and Brandon Solomon also scored.
*Jake Brader was 9-12 in the face-off circle, Ryan Becker went 8-10 and Harris was 7-8.
*Brader scooped eight ground balls while Becker had six.
*Logan O'Sullivan had three caused turnovers.
*Abe Salmon and Garrett Zollinger each had two goals for SVU (2-2).
