FOREST, Va. - The Roanoke College women's lacrosse squad was picked to finish second in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) preseason poll as put out by the conference on Tuesday morning.
Roanoke ended the 2024 regular season in second place, going 8-1 in conference play and reaching the ODAC championship game. They then made it onto the NCAA tournament and advanced all the way to the Round of 16.
The Maroons received 131 in the poll, including one first place vote. They stand seven points ahead of third placed Shenandoah and 13 points behind the preseason favorite, Washington & Lee.
Additionally, the squad also earned a #11 national preseason ranking from USA Lacrosse and a #12 ranking from the IWLCA.
The team is set to open their season on the road at Kenyon College on Feb. 22 at 1:00 pm.
