The Lead: The Maroons' 4x400 relay team logged a conference-leading time, recording one of six Top 10 placements as the women's track & field team hosted its second event of the year.
Highlights:
- Roanoke's 4x400 relay team posted a runner-up finish, as Mae Kaufman, Lindsey Hobin, Ophelia Ladner and Maryrose Molina-Shuman clocked in at 4:05.44. Their season-best time ranks ninth all-time in program history; it currently leads the ODAC and ranks second in the NCAA South Region.
- Two Maroons landed in the top five of the 60m hurdles. Olivia Viers came in fourth with a time of 9.18 seconds, followed by Rebecca Carr in fifth at 9.26. Viers now ranks second in the conference and is tied for third in the South Region for the indoor campaign, while Carr's season-best time of 9.23 seconds in the prelims is good for fourth place in the ODAC and sixth regionally.
- Tasha Miller placed fourth in the pole vault with a mark of 3.15m.
- Ophelia Ladner's season-best run of 1:02.59 was good for sixth place in the 400m. Her time ranks fourth in the ODAC on the season.
- In the high jump, Carr posted a season-best mark of 1.49m to finish eighth overall.
- Cammi Winston came in 11th in the triple jump with a distance of 10.17m.
- In the weight throw, Sarah Fuchs finished 11th at 13.74m, followed by Abby McGlothlin in 16th at 12.26m. Both marks represented personal records, and Fuchs now ranks ninth in Roanoke history.
- Fuchs also placed 13th in the shot put with a distance of 10.53m, while McGlothlin came in 20th at 10.14m.
- Savannah Reid logged a personal-record time of 11:47.37 in the 3,000m to claim 15th position.
- Viers logged a season-best mark of 5.00m in the long jump, finishing in 15th place.
- Nadira Cantey placed 15th in the 800m with a time of 2:30.53.
- Sarah Kochanski finished 16th in the 5,000m, notching a personal-best time of 20:53.04. Alaina DeFelice placed 19th in 21:57.90.
- In the 200m, Hobin recorded a 16th-place time of 27.00 in the 200m. She was followed by Kaufman (27.15) in 19th and Eleanor Hinckley (27.26) in 20th.
Up Next: Roanoke is slated to compete at the Liberty Open in Lynchburg next Friday and Saturday.
