How It Happened

  • Peyton Kirchner fittingly opened the scoring before Randolph went on a run to a six-point lead. A Nadia Snesarev three pointer cut the lead in half and helped the Maroons to draw even, 13-13, before the quarter's end.

  • RC jumped out to an eight-point advantage midway through the second. Randolph responded though with a run of their own to take the upper hand going into half, 34-31.

  • The WildCats frustrated Roanoke is the third, increasing their lead to as much as 10 points and they went into the final period up 46-38.

  • The Maroons decided that they were not just going to surrender, cutting the deficit to three within two minutes of the quarter's start. Snesarev and Ashley Fowler combined for four straight three-pointers to put Roanoke up. The offense kept coming and the defense held strong, only allowing five points in the quarter, to secure the 58-51 ODAC win.
