SALEM, Va. – The Roanoke College men's basketball team opens the 2025-26 season ranked No. 10 with the release of the D3hoops.com top 25 pre-season poll Wednesday.

The Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) is well represented in the top 25, with Randolph-Macon College (#2), Virginia Wesleyan University (#14) and Hampden-Sydney College (#17) all earning spots in the top 25.

Last winter the Maroons advanced to the NCAA Tournament's Round of 16 for the first time since the 1995-96 campaign. Roanoke finished the 2024-25 season 25-6, the most wins for the program since the 1993-94 season. RC ranked No. 15 in the final D3hoops.com poll, the highest in program history for a D3hoops.com season-ending poll.

The Maroons return four starters from the 2024-25 team (Marcus Morgan, Jackson Bell, Gavin O'Malley and Patrick Clevenger) and welcome back 2023-24 starter Zach Rosenthal, who was forced to sit out the 2024-25 campaign with an injury.

The Maroons open the 2025-26 season by hosting Christendom College Tuesday, Nov. 11 at 7:30 p.m. in the Cregger Center.
