SALEM, Va. - Despite a hard-fought battle, the Roanoke College men's soccer team was taken down by Washington & Lee in conference play.

How It Happened 

• After a back and forth first half, which included a stellar diving save at the end of the half by Aidan McHugh to keep it level, W&L was the one to break through five minutes into the second half. The Maroons pressed on for an equalizer but were unable to find the answer. 

Notes and Notables 

• Lucas Pace led the team in shots with two. 

• Harrison Kraus and Ed Law recorded the other two looks at goal for the Maroons. 

• McHugh tied a season high in saves with five in the match.
