The Short story: The Randolph-Macon College men's basketball team, ranked No. 13 in the latest D3hoops.com top 25 poll, outlasted Roanoke College 78-64 Saturday in an Old Dominion Athletic Conference game.
The Maroons received votes in the D3hoops.com top 25 poll this week and the loss snaps a six-game winning streak.
How it happened:
*Roanoke used a 9-0 run early in the contest to go ahead 17-10 with 13:30 left in the first half.
*RC led 21-17 midway through the half but RMC took a 34-24 lead after a 17-3 surge, with 11 points from Keishawn Pulley, Jr. The Yellow Jackets led 39-31 at halftime.
*The Maroons cut the lead to 41-37 after the break. An 8-2 run put RMC up 10 and the Yellow Jackets had at least an eight-point lead the rest of the way.
Inside the numbers:

Marcus Morgan and
Joshua McClary each had 17 points for Roanoke. Morgan added six rebounds and McClary compiled four rebounds and three assists.

Joshua Morse had 11 points and
Patrick Clevenger added eight.

Jackson Bell scored five points.
*Pulley finished with 25 points for RMC and hit 7-of-10 from beyond the three-point arc.
*Randolph-Macon (15-3/8-1) shot 56.5 percent (13-23) from distance and committed just eight turnovers on the afternoon.
