The Short story: The Roanoke College men's basketball team led by just one at halftime Wednesday but pulled away in the second half for a 76-62 win at Eastern Mennonite University in an Old Dominion Athletic Conference contest.
How it happened: Â
*The Maroons opened a 27-16 lead with just under six minutes left in the first half. The Royals closed the half on a 14-6 surge to trail at the break by just one point, 33-32. Â
*Roanoke used a 15-6 run to begin the second half and go ahead 48-38. The Royals cut the advantage to five (64-59) with four minutes left, but the Maroons sealed the contest with an 8-0 run.

Marcus Morgan scored a game-high 16 points and tied for the game high with eight rebounds. The junior guard also had four assists and has scored in double figures in six-straight games.

Jackson Bell posted 15 points and six boards.

Joshua McClary contributed across the board with 13 points, a game-high eight assists, seven rebounds, two blocks and two steals.

Gavin O'Malley finished with nine points and five rebounds while
