BRIDGEWATER, Va. - The Roanoke College women's basketball team was taken down by the Bridgewater Eagles, who remain undefeated in ODAC play, on Wednesday night.

How It Happened 

• Bridgewater got out to an early lead, scoring the first six points. The Maroons tried to close the gap, but Bridgewater held strong in the quarter. 

• The Eagles kept it going in the second and Roanoke wasn't able to get into rhythm before the half. 

• RC scored the first points of the second half thanks to a pair of free throws from Mariah Cain. Bridgewater though was determined to not let the Maroons get back into the game. 

• The Eagles continued their run of form in the fourth to put the game out of reach for Roanoke. 
     

Notes and Notables 

• Paige Breuer continued her streak of double-digit scoring games, recording 13 on the evening. Ingrid Moraes was the next closest Maroon in scoring with nine. 

• Alicea Farmer was one of the driving forces in the rebound game for Roanoke, pulling down four offensive and five defensive rebounds. 

• Mariah Cain also snagged six rebounds and had two steals in the game. 

• The Maroons did have a slight edge from the free throw line in the game, making 65% compared to Bridgewater's 61.9%
