WINCHESTER, Va. - The Roanoke College women's basketball team dropped their road ODAC matchup to Shenandoah on Saturday afternoon.

How It Happened 

• Shenandoah got out to an early nine-point lead halfway through the first quarter. Roanoke worked their way back in though to reduce the deficit. 

• RC kept themselves in the game in the second, getting the Hornets' lead down to just four with just over three minutes to go. Shenandoah made a push at the end of the half though to bring the score at the break to 36-25. 

• The Maroons didn't have an answer for the best shooting team in the ODAC in the third as they got outshot 20-8 in the period. 

• Roanoke fought until the end putting up some jumpers and three pointers in the fourth, but in the end, it wasn't enough to overcome the deficit. 
     

Notes and Notables 

• Paige Breuer hit double digit scoring again, putting up a 45.5 FG% for 13 points. 

• Kiley Hylton was right behind Breuer, shooting 57.1% for nine points. 

• Ashley Fowler and Ingrid Moraes paced the rebound game with five each. 

• Mariah Cain and Alicea Farmer combined for five of the team's seven blocks. Caroline Donaldson and Peyton Kirchner accounted for the other two.
