SPRINGFIELD, Ohio – The Roanoke College men's volleyball team fell to Wittenberg in their season opener on Friday evening.

How It Happened 

• The Maroons found themselves in a 6-1 hole early. Despite their efforts to work their way back into the set, Wittenberg took it 25-19. 

• The second set went similarly to the first with Wittenberg winning it 25-17. 

• Roanoke couldn't quite get in a rhythm in the third set, falling 25-13. 
     

Notes and Notables 

• Junior Jackson Rutkowski led the squad in kills, registering eight. 

• Leo Houser and Gabe Fabbro both had double digit assists, with House recording 12 and Fabbro dishing out 10. 

• Michael Cummins paced the team in digs, totaling eight in the match.
