The Short Story: The Roanoke College women's soccer team fell to No. 17-ranked Johns Hopkins University (Md.) Saturday 4-0 in the second game of the Roanoke Invitational in Kerr Stadium.
No. 18 Hardin-Simmons defeated the University of Lynchburg 3-2 in the first game of the day.
HOW IT HAPPENED
*Roanoke had two shots on goal in the game's first 19 minutes, but Blue Jay keeper Tia Harrison kept the ball out of the net to maintain a 0-0 tie.
*JHU's Maria Romo-Nichols scored at 19:35 and Juliana Taxter followed six minutes later to make it 2-0.
*Olivia Redden scored in the 36
th minute and Carrie McIntire netted an insurance goal in the second half.
