SALEM, Va. - The Roanoke College men's soccer team grabbed their first conference win of the season in a 3-0 victory over Randolph-Macon on Saturday evening.

• The Maroons came out strong in the first half to help earn them a lead that they would not give up. 

How It Happened 

• Ryan Pidgeon opened the scoring in the 10th minute. He received a ball from Jake Berecz roughly 40 yards out from goal and dribbled towards the box. Michael Ramsey then cleared space for Pidgeon to dribble into the box and finished the ball into the lower right corner. 

• Just ten minutes later Quinn Kunath sent a corner to the head of Alex Lopacinski who looped the ball over the keeper to double the lead. 

• Ramsey forced a turnover from the Randolph-Macon defense in the Maroons' attacking third and took the ball himself for a finish that took a deflection and found its way to the back of the net. 

Notes and Notables 

• Ramsey's goal puts him at a team leading four tallies on the campaign. 

• Pidgeon and Lopacinski's goals were their first of the year. Lopacinski's goal was also his first career goal. 

• Kunath's assist was his first of the season while Berecz's was his second. 

• All of Roanoke's 25 active field players saw the pitch in the match. 

• The Maroons out shot Randolph-Macon ,18-7. 

• Goalkeeper Luca Gustafson recorded two saves in his 90 minutes of play.
