The Short Story: The Roanoke College women's soccer team fell 4-0 Sunday at Centre College in non-conference action. Centre improves to 6-1-1 on the season.
How it happened:
*The Colonels got on the scoreboard just over one minute into the contest on a tally from Isabella Marcum.
*Riley Givens converted a penalty kick at 8:23 and Centre took the 2-0 lead into halftime.
*Givens scored again five minutes after intermission and Avery Buser netted an insurance goal at 69:09.
Inside the numbers:
*Roanoke's
Victoria Correll made three saves in 17:50 of scoreless play in net.
*Centre outshot RC 16-8 on the afternoon, including a 9-5 edge in shots on goal.
*The Colonels took six corner kicks to the Maroons one.
