SALEM, Va. - There was nothing to split the Roanoke College men's soccer team and the visiting Marietta Pioneers on Saturday afternoon as the two teams battled to a 0-0 draw.

How It Happened 

• The Maroons had the majority of the opportunities, outshooting Marietta 11-6 and even holding them shotless in the first half. 

Notes and Notables 

• Carlos Lomena led the way with 3 shots on the day. Carter Laatsch and Ryan Pidgeon were right behind him though, putting two on frame each. 

• Besides the goalie, Pidgeon was the only other player to play the full 90 minutes. 

• Roanoke also had the advantage on corners in the contest, 4-1, with three coming in the second half. 

• Senior keeper Luca Gustafson made six saves in the match.
