RICHMOND, Va. - Juniors Lily Mullens and Ethan Brewer of the Roanoke College swimming team received Scholar All-American honors from the College Swimming & Diving Association of America (CSCAA).
Mullens became the first swimmer since 2019 to attend the NCAA Swimming & Diving Championships. The Ohio native was invited to the meet after making a 'B' qualifying cut with her gold medal 100 back time of 56.49 at the ODAC Championships. Mullens also competed in the 50 and 100 free at NCAAs after taking silver and bronze in those events at the ODAC Championships.
While Brewer did not compete at NCAAs, he did make the 'B' cut in the 200 free with his gold medal time of 1:39.59 at the ODAC Championships. Brewer had himself a very successful season in the pool though, taking home gold medals at the ODAC Championships in the 500 and 1650 free in addition to his gold in the 200 free.
To qualify for CSCAA Scholar All-America, student-athletes must have earned a GPA of 3.5 or higher and participated in their national championship or met a "B" time standard for the national championship.
