The Lead: The Roanoke women's track & field team sent several athletes to compete at the Mount Olive First Chance in North Carolina.
 
Meet Highlights:

• The 4x400 relay team recorded a season-best time of 3:53.84, as Haylee Gamble, Lindsey Hobin, Ophelia Ladner and Mikayla Hefferon finished first in the event.
• Kaitlyn Nguyen logged a mark of 1.62m in the high jump, landing as the runner-up.
• The 4x100 relay squad of Gamble, Hobin, Nalonda Henderson and Eleanor Hinckley clocked in at 47.98 seconds, placing second behind the quartet from Mount Olive.
• Olivia Viers recorded a time of 15.39 seconds in the 100m hurdles, finishing fourth overall.

Up Next: The Maroons will take part in Mount Olive's Final Qualifier on Saturday.
