The Short story:
The Roanoke College softball team split an Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) doubleheader Saturday against Sweet Briar College, dropping the first game 2-1 and winning game two 3-0. The program's seven seniors were honored in a pre-game ceremony on Senior Day.

How it happened:
*Roanoke took a 1-0 lead in the second frame of game one, as Katelyn Craghead hit an RBI groundout to score Ally Brown.
*Sweet Briar plated runs in the fourth and fifth frames and kept the Maroons off the scoreboard the rest of the way.
*In the nightcap, Roanoke broke open a 0-0 tie with three runs in the sixth. Morgan Clark led off with a walk and moved to third on a Heather McQueeney single. Clark darted home on a Molly Epperson ground out to the third baseman and Lilly Burns brought home two more with a double.
